Lake Banyoles

Created at 12/9/2016

Description

Lake Banyoles is a permanent lake and is build-up of several merged collapsed dolines, which host a fresh-water, through-flow setting. The main recharge occurs at the bottom of the lake by hydrothermal subbottom springs in a karstic aquifer, connected to the La Garrotxa volcanic field.
